Get the Training You Need for a Safer Workplace!
Autonomous mobile robots are one of the fastest-growing segments of the robotics industry. In light of this growing demand, A3 is excited to bring an all-new safety course to the industry. This Industrial Mobile Robotics Safety course will introduce the safety protocols and best practices for working with mobile robots in industrial settings. This course emphasizes the critical importance of ensuring the well-being of personnel, equipment, and products when deploying and operating mobile robots. Participants will be introduced to the various safety standards, risk assessment methodologies and safety guidelines specific to industrial mobile robotics applications.
Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises, students will explore methodologies to identify potential hazards, implement safety measures, and develop emergency response strategies to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries in industrial environments. By the end of the course, participants will have reviewed the principles of effectively integrating safety considerations into the design, deployment, and maintenance of industrial mobile robotics systems and how to foster a culture of safety and efficiency within their organizations.

The key elements of the mobile robot safety standard
Roles of the manufacturer, integrator, and user
The process for hazard identification and risk assessment
Special considerations for risk assessment with IMRs / systems
The challenges and implications when interfacing IMRs with existing equipment
Requirements for verification and validation
Example applications, systems, watchouts, and solutions
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of robotics and programming concepts is recommended, but not mandatory. Familiarity with industrial automation principles will be beneficial, although the course will cater to learners from diverse technical backgrounds seeking to expand their expertise in mobile robotics safety.
