Electromechanical safety switch with separate actuator

Electromechanical safety switches (type 2) enable guard doors, hoods and flaps etc. to be protected with a separate actuator. When the safety guard is opened, hazardous movements must be immediately switched off by the safety switch and secured against restart. The robust type 2 safety switches from Dold are available in different functionalities and can be easily adapted to your individual application thanks to their modularity.

Electromechanical safety switch with solenoid interlock

Solenoid interlocks, also referred to as safety switches with guard locking, cause safety guards as well as other protective devices to remain closed as long as a dangerous condition or risk of injury to persons exists. Access can only be gained when a release signal is present, for example from a higher-level control system. The robust solenoid interlocks from Dold are available with additional functions such as emergency and escape release as well as a rope pull escape release, which provide preventive protection against locking.

Key transfer - safety switches combined with mechanical solenoid interlocks

The SAFEMASTER STS key transfer system combines electrical safety gate monitoring with mechanical, wiring-free guard locking. In this way, individual key transfer concepts can also be implemented without wiring. For example, a main access that is frequently used is monitored electrically. Accesses that are only rarely used can be protected purely mechanically or without wiring. Due to different environmental conditions, the FRP version can also be combined with the stainless steel version without any problems.

Safety command devices - integrable safety functions

Safety command devices enable the monitoring of safety doors on machines and systems. They expand safety switches and solenoid interlocks with additional command functions, for example to control main and maintenance access.

Different separating actuators - a wide range of possible solutions

Several actuators, slide bolts and door handle actuators are available in the SAFEMASTER STS system product range. Each actuator offers its own advantages for different applications. The right actuator must be selected depending on the application. Important factors in the decision are the ambient conditions, mounting position, direction of movement, force application, coding and the required performance level according to ISO 13849-1.
